Calling all residents of Rathcoran Housing Estate
Join us on 25th May from 12pm – 3pm
Rathcoran residents have worked over the past year with Respond and Wicklow County Council’s Creative Places Baltinglass programme to think of ways to deliver new projects and activities for the estate to enhance the neighbourhood.
As a result of the input of the residents, Respond and Wicklow County Council are providing this day of community participation by joining in the Street Feast national day of food sharing. You are encouraged to bring along your own food and drinks to consume and share.
Meet the estate’s Artist in Residence Siobhán Madden, and take part in a hands-on art and planting workshop encouraging creative engagement with nature.
There will be lots of other activities for children and families to enjoy, such as a slime workshop, a petting farm, face painting, music and games.
All events are free to participate in.
This event has been coordinated and presented by Respond Housing Association, and is supported by the Creative Places Baltinglass project run by Wicklow County Council and supported by the Arts Council. The project has also been funded and supported by Respond as part of the Brain Health Project initiative. With thanks to the Men’s Shed for their support in building the planting structures in the community garden, and the residents of the estate who came on board to design this day for all their neighbours to enjoy!
This is your chance to have your say. Fill in the form below and get involved in this exciting project for Baltinglass.
